PalletRunner™ GEN3 Cart

The PalletRunner™ system is a high density storage system that allows you to store multiple pallets in a deep lane configuration. The system also gives you the flexibility of retrieving pallets from any lane with multiple sku locations without driving into the system.

Pallets are loaded and unloaded into the system from the first or “Home” position at either end with a Pallet Runner™ Cart. The Cart is controlled by a hand-held radio transmitter which allows the carts to perform multiple functions to suit your storage needs. The cart is designed to transport pallets being stored into the system, and retrieve the pallets as needed for shipment.

Quite simply, in the right application, PalletRunner™ GEN3 delivers on storing more pallets in your facility than any other type of storage system while making the most effecient use of your existing lift truck fleet. PalletRunner™ GEN3 gives you unlimited flexibility in maximizing your storage space by applying multiple storage configurations under one roof.

Support Structure

Rugged Galvanized Steel Carrier Rails and Pallet Entry Guides are incorporated into an engineered structure. All systems come equipped with heavy-duty rail end stops for impact and safety.

How Does it Work?

The PalletRunner™ GEN3 Carts can be placed or moved into any lane by means of a fork lift. Once the Cart has been placed into the appropriate lane, the operator uses a radio transmitter to instruct the Cart to perform the function given. The operator may drive away to retrieve or deliver another pallet while the PalletRunner™ GEN3 works on its own.

Installation

PalletRunner™ GEN3 is designed to make your facility more productive and efficient. PalletRunner™ GEN3 has a dedicated team of designers and engineers to ensure a smooth installation.

Dock to Stock

Dock to stock distance is shortened drastically, improving fork lift productivity and truck turn‑around. Since only one (LIFO) or two (FIFO) aisles are needed, they can be lined up directly with the dock.

First-in First-out (FIFO)

The Pallet Runner™ GEN3 Cart is used to load pallets from one end of the storage system and retrieved from the other end of the system to create a FIFO environment.

First-in Last-out (FILO)

Pallets are loaded into the system using the Pallet Runner™ GEN3 from main aisles. This allows storage systems to be much deeper pallet positions than other high density systems. This creates the shortest distance possible from loading dock to the system creating a high rate of lift truck productivity; the Pallet Runner™ GEN3 cart either retrieves or puts the pallet in position freeing the operator to perform another task.

Case Picking

The Pallet Runner™ GEN3 Cart can be used in conjunction with other storage systems including Case Pick environments such as Konstant Pallet Flow. High density storage is achieved in the upper levels while case picking occurs in corridors through the system.

80 - 20 Rule

The Pallet Runner™ GEN3 storage system works in conjunction with a picking system maintaining the 80 - 20 Rule; whereby 20% of your sku’s represent 80% of your volume, and 80% of your sku’s represent 20% of your volume. The lower portion, or 20% of skus, of the system utilizes a pallet flow (roller) system for continual pallet loading and retrieval. The upper portion of the system utilizes the Pallet Runner™ GEN3 system for the 80% of your skus.
